feet, dancing feet

From Creative Review: Transport For London has turned to graphic design in an attempt to make it easier to get on and off crowded tubes.

I always think the graphics on the Hong Kong is inadequate - it encourages us to leave a 20cm gap for exit passengers and the crowd at the back inevitably crowds together leaving 10cm.

I think Bangkok's skytrain has the best graphic: the exit zone widens as it moves away from the train - which is what the exit flow tend to want to do - and suggests boarding people wait in the space between the doors, which is the intelligent thing to do and makes maximum use of the space on the platform.
