
HK Star Ferry pier has moved to inaccessible-land (have you ever tried to cross the road in front of it? the 6 layers of railings makes you make a 20 meter detour). Today the operator says it has already lost 15% users, with a estimated loss of HK$2m since February this year. The Kowloon side is facing the removal of the bus+taxi route feed which will further erode the regular passengers. Me think we should bring back the rickshaws, something need to connect the ferry piers back to the other nodes. Aqua restaurant group listening (follow-up of their Aqua Luna)? Or IGOR group, they are apparently opening a restaurant on the top level of the HK pier.

The rickshaws looked so sad and lonely shunted off to the side and with the "for sale" signs when I took that photo in December 2005.
Here in America (New York and Boston) human-powered transit is making a come-back. "Pedi-Cabs" seat two passengers and are pedelled by the operator as is a bicylcle
