Legislator KK Kwok defeated on Harbour Motion

Legco Motion to set up a Harbour Authority for Hong Kong was defeated yesterday. There was very few noises along the grapevines about this motion until very late in the day, and there was seemingly no build up of lobbying functional constituency legislators to get on side, which went 5-13. The motion was supported overwhemingly by geographical legislators at 10-2. Seeing there could have been possible support for the motion from even the biggest of corporations in the form of the Harbour Business Forum, it could have been a win if it was orchestrated properly. Maybe next time.

what i never understand is who actually wants to keep killing the harbour? money aside, we must have lost the plot somewhere along the way allowing so many legislators to believe it was a wise choice.
